A bath! That’s what the leaves need once they’re dried. Besides keeping the leaves clean, this has another purpose too. At the start and after drying, the leaf sheath is hard and not very easy to bend. Washing it with water makes it malleable, meaning it can be bent into any necessary shape. Adaaya’s employees wash each leaf down till they’re exactly how they want them. This enables Adaaya to make the perfect square, round, elliptic or boat-shaped plate or bowl that you want!
