How to compost at home?

You can compost at home by following very simple steps:


STEP 1: SEGREGATE THE COMPOSTABLE VS NON COMPOSTABLE WASTE

  • Green Compostable Waste: fresh leaves, kitchen scraps, coffee grounds
  • Brown Compostable Waste: paper shredded, dried leaves, untreated sawdust, Adaaya Palm disposables
  • Not to be composted: Dairy products, Meat-fish leftovers, oil, fat, grease

STEP 2: PLACE YOUR COMPOST BIN ON A SUNNY PATCH AT YOUR GARDEN. Find a side patch with a bit of sun to set up upir compost bin.

STEP 3: MAKE ALTERNATE LAYER OF GREEN & BROWN WASTE IN YOUR COMPOST BIN.

STEP 4: KEEP ADDING A LITTLE OF WATER (NOT MUCH) OVER THE PILE ONCE IN A WHILE.

It should be enough to just keep the compost pile moist (not wet)
