Let’s introduce you all to the world of Areca Palm Leave Tableware and its manufacturers. To simplify, what apple was to Einstein is what Areca Sheaths are to palm leave dinnerware manufacturer. The analogy here indicates that all the raw material required in making of palm leaves cutlery comes from the fallen sheaths of Areca Palm tree. Fallen sheaths are nothing but a hard layer that is being extracted from the leaves. One areca palm tree sheds five to six leaves a year. And the best thing is, everything used up in this manufacturing process is completely biodegradable; the sheaths, leaves and even the leftovers after plates or bowls are made. Adaaya has trained its workers to make the most optimum utilisation of the raw materials to ensure zero wastage. And hence, Adaaya adds #leafdisposable along with its name.  

SERVING ON ARECA LEAF PLATES

The process starts from collecting fallen leaves of the tree from the lush green Deccan Plateau. To make the best quality dinnerware for you, we handpick each and every sheath collected by the farmers. The sheath must possess three features to go into processing; fresh, devoid of fungus and 
. After collecting them, they’re washed and soaked in water at the factory. Once the excess water is drained out, each sheath is taken to the moulding machine to mould sheaths into tableware. No chemicals or any synthetic binders are used in the process.

Adaaya takes pride in saying that all of this is being done by our powerful women workforce. Once the moulded tableware is ready, our women intricately grades and smoothens the edges of the cutlery to give it a beautiful finishing. The leftovers are then sent to the vermin composting industry. Before the final packaging, it is ensured that plates and bowls are completely dried up and free from moist to prevent from growing molds and microbes on them. The final packages are then exported directly to the buyers, hence eliminating the need of any middlemen.

      Surly, you would not like to end up with floppy plastic or paper plate which would cause great agony for your guests to hold he food. Poor Quality disposable, though it means no cleaning for the plates, it means a lot of risk for beautiful table lenin or for the lovely garden pathway you have.
