Adaaya is a social enterprise. While making a living for ourselves, we also aim to help save the environment from further damage. Further, we also believe in making our employees’ lives better. Adaaya has, from the start, made it a point to employ as many women as possible. We have succeeded and provided a stable income to many rural households by employing the ladies of the households. They are now able to afford a good education for their children. Adaaya has also provided job security to all of its employees and given them benefits and perks that they need for a good standard of life. This is something every enterprise should be doing, don’t you think?

Every successful company has an origin story worth telling, and Adaaya is no different. One day, Adaaya’s founder Roli happened to read an article about how a large retail chain was looking to sell eco-friendly tableware. Her entrepreneurial mind-set and an interest in sustainable living meant the opportunity was right up her alley.  Growing up, Roli’s husband T. Harsh had seen palm leaves being used in traditional Indian applications, and he knew this was the perfect answer to the problem. One feasibility check later, he had confirmed it was a viable business idea. Then Harsh joined Roli as a partner, and together they started Adaaya’s journey in 2014.
